Take in the fresh air outside our apartments near Alma Park in Walnut Creek. This quaint community park is nestled directly across the street from Alpine Park Apartments and features expansive lawns, comfortable benches, picnic tables, and a gorgeous view of Mount Diablo.
Bought by the City of Walnut Creek in the 1980s, Alma Park is open from dawn until dusk and provides a great place to go for a run or enjoy time with your favorite furry friend. For off-leash time with Fido, take a quick trip down to the Walnut Creek Dog Park located at the north end of Heather Farm Park, just 10 minutes from our rental community. The one-acre, fenced area has segregated spaces for small and senior dogs as well as large dogs. Heather Farm Park also offers three different-sized picnic areas to rent, perfect for small gatherings and large parties.
Another spot just 10 minutes from our apartments near Alma Park is the Walnut Creek Skate Park, across from the Clarke Swim Center. The park provides several unique features for street and vertical skaters, such as rails, bowls, steps, and ledges. While the Walnut Creek Skate Park is open and free to the public, the city government requires the use of helmets as well as elbow and knee pads.
Other community parks in the area include Arbolado Park, complete with separate playgrounds for ages 2-5 and ages 5-12, basketball and tennis courts, and walking trail connections. You can also enjoy Howe Homestead Park, which boasts a half-acre plot with community, pollinating, and rose gardens ideal for hiking and picnicking.
